Billie Eilish for Chanel

Description

This project explores a hybrid workflow combining creative direction, generative AI, and manual post-production. The goal was to create a fashion editorial with a strong, elegant, and contemporary character while maintaining full control over the final visual quality.

CONCEPT

The starting point was to build a refined visual universe with a strong stage presence and a couture aesthetic.

I wanted the result to feel coherent with a fashion editorial, but developed through an experimental process in which AI would act as a supporting tool rather than the main protagonist.

The focus was on combining:

• high-fashion atmosphere.
• elegant composition.
• material detail and luminosity.
• strong but controlled visual impact.

To define the visual direction, I first worked on the prompt, refining the language with the help of Claude and Freepik.

This phase was essential to translate an abstract idea into more precise instructions, aligning tone, mood, styling, and composition.

The goal was not to generate random images, but to guide the model toward a very specific aesthetic.

Every visual choice was made to maintain consistency across the different outputs and build a credible visual narrative.

AI IMAGE GENERATION AND MOTION

For the image

The images were generated with Nano Banana and Seedream, selecting and iterating the versions that best matched the initial creative direction.

During this stage, I worked on obtaining useful variations in pose, framing, atmosphere, and material rendering.

What made the process especially interesting was the continuous dialogue between intention and result: some images worked best for composition, others for lighting or styling.

The work consisted in identifying which elements to combine in order to reach a stronger and more coherent output.

For the video

I used Kling and Vao to transform the static concept into a dynamic sequence.

The shift into motion added depth, presence, and a sense of continuity that strengthens the project’s identity.

Here too, the key point was maintaining visual coherence with the initial images.

The video was not meant to change the language, but to amplify it.
